I often find happiness in very small things and think that nothing is important, and that’s why everything is. I’m a minimalist when it comes to things and an idealist when it comes to life. It bothers me that time is passing by and we can’t stop it, that people are getting older, and that we can’t control some things. I’d like to learn to play the ukulele and not get mad about little stuff. I’m a northerner at heart, but one day I’ll buy a house in Spain.

How are you feeling at the moment?
Grateful, but terribly tired. My work and personal life are now more varied and colourful than I can possibly manage in the long run.
Where do you look for inspiration in your life?
In the people around me. The word “inspiration” often links to something overwhelming and big, but for me, inspiration is in the little things in people’s lives and interactions – in gestures, in words, in stories, in attitudes, in values – all of which I observe, admire and am inspired by.
Is there anything you’re hiding from others?
When I’m worried and troubled. These are situations where I am too fragile to handle that the other party wouldn’t respond in such a caring way. That’s why I prefer to hide it from most people and turn my attention to them. That’s why I sometimes hug others when I need a hug myself.
Who or what does your heart beat for?
For that moment when I turn my face to the sun and close my eyes. For freedom of the mind and body. For finding beauty and joy in everyday moments. For my loved ones.
What gave you strength when you needed it the most?
Knowing that every hard hour is only 60 minutes long and tomorrow this moment will be history. And my partner.
What is the most precious thing in life?
That I have it and that I have the freedom to make it what I want and need it to be, if I take the right steps to do so.
Is there anything that bothers you about today’s society?
How mean people can be to each other. That it often sticks to social narratives that are not conducive to an individual’s happiness in life. Even though it is objectively getting better, new and more problems are constantly arising, and some of them are self-created.
Do you consider Prague anonymous?
No, and I like it. I like that I meet my friends randomly at the market on Saturday mornings or that workers know what I want before I order it at my favourite café. I only feel anonymity on the tram or subway, where I observe others in secret and wonder what their story might be.
What do you think is the meaning of art in public space?
Art in general has the ability to transform our thinking, expand our horizons and push the boundaries of our imagination. Once it enters the public space, it can suddenly influence us in our daily activities, like driving to work or taking the kids to the playground. It is important that we take art with all its influence out of the galleries and let it affect us no matter where we are or who we are. It also enhances the aesthetics of our surroundings, and that’s generally something that contributes to our peace of mind. After all, we want to keep it nice at home too, so why wouldn’t we want that in the streets of the city we live in.
What is your role in the project and what does it entail?
My journey probably started the same way as to most people who know the PRAHO! project – I saw a sticker with poetry on it in a bar and the words on it touched me in a strange way. I scanned the code, started answering questions and included a personal message among my answers in the questionnaire. Annamarie, the author of the project idea, contacted me on that account, and then it all went from there- our feeling of having known each other forever and our shared energy and ideas made us friends and work partners.
Currently, I am working primarily as a psychological supervisor of the project. Firstly, I create intervention and psychological content on our topics, implementations and social networks, but I also take care of the internal workings of the team. I also work on establishing collaborations with our partners.
Best beer | I’m not really a beer drinker, but I enjoy the ALE! bar, where you can taste several beer specials. I like to go to Café Emauzy for a drink because they have a beautiful view of Prague. |
Favourite venue | Nechtějte po mně jedno doporučení! Jsem požitkářka tělem i duší a to nejlepší místo záleží vždy na náladě. |
Secret spot | I’d like a recommendation! I am a foodie through and through and the best place always depends on my mood. |
Favourite cinema | I always like to go to the Rudolfinum and see a film at the Přítomnost cinema, where I feel like I am at home in my living room. |
Favourite greenery | Generally any that breaks up the greyness of the streets. And then Riegráče – early in the morning, when Prague is still asleep and I walk there with a coffee in my hand. |
